Mayki Marcelin of West Palm Beach, Florida was arrested April 8 for allegedly raping a teenage boy in 2015. Marcelin, 20, faces a charge of lewd or lascivious behavior with a minor for two incidents in 2015.

He was held at Palm Beach County Jail and was later released after posting a $30,000 bond. He was ordered not to have contact with the teen. News sources did not say if he has entered a plea or acquired legal representation.

According to the arrest report, Marcelin, who is a citizen of Haiti, asked a 13-year-old boy to have sex with him in June 2015. He reportedly told the teen that they “are not blood,” presumably implying that sex would be okay because they’re not related. But the teen rebuffed Marcelin’s advances and replied, “Ew, no,” the police report said.

When the teen attempted to walk away, Marcelin purportedly followed and took him to a bedroom where he allegedly raped the him. After the alleged sexual assault, the teen reportedly ran to friend’s home.

The teen accused Marcelin of a second rape incident in December 2015. A medical examination reportedly indicated that the teen had signs of physical sexual assault, and that was what led to Marcelin’s arrest on Saturday. His relationship with the teen is redacted in the report.

Another incident involving the sexual assault of several minors over the span of 20 years was reported in south Florida last week. Eric J. Massie was arrested by Troy police on several allegations of rape that date back to 1995. He faces nine felony charges, including rape, after four men reportedly came forward to accuse him of committing sexual offenses against them when they were minors.

Massie, 43, pleaded not guilty in Miami County Common Pleas Court on April 6 to six felonies of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, two of rape, and one of gross sexual imposition. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. News sources did not list an attorney for Massie.

According to court records, Massie was arrested and later convicted of gross sexual imposition in 1997 in a separate incident. The new charges for rape allegations date back to 1995 when he purportedly engaged in sexual conduct with a then six-year-old boy.

Massie was arrested in June last year in a case involving a teenage boy who told investigators that he had been sexually abused for a period of three years beginning in 2013 until May 2016. After hearing news of Massie’s arrest, two adults came forward and claimed to be victims of sexual assaults perpetrated by Massie.

The two men provided Troy police with the names of six others who they believed may have also been victims. Police tracked down the men and one of them reportedly disclosed his victimization and agreed to work with investigators.

Massie was allegedly known to family members of the victims, news sources said. During a consensual search of his house in June, police reportedly found several computers, cell phones, and a journal with pictures of young males that had been cut out of catalogs and magazines. It is unclear if the journal belongs to Massie.

Jason Olreidge of Tamarac, Florida was arrested on Monday for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old boy outside his apartment complex. Olreidge, 22, faces charges for lewd and lascivious conduct and lewd and lascivious molestation.

He had his first-appearance court session on Tuesday where he was ordered jailed without bond and was prohibited from contacting the victim or being within 500 feet of a playground, school, or children’s event. News sources did not specify an attorney for Olreidge.

According to the police report, the 11-year-old victim was taking out the trash from his apartment in Tamarac when a man purportedly rode up to him on a bicycle. The encounter reportedly escalated when the adult put his hand down the boy’s pants and attempted to kiss him.

The victim told authorities that the man introduced himself as “J” and asked the boy for his name and whether “he was looking for a boyfriend.” The man then allegedly got physical and placed his hand down the boy’s pants to rub his genitals, then asked him whether he would like to engage in another sex act.

The boy refused and pulled away from the stranger and went home, but the man reportedly followed him all the way home, where he grabbed and kissed him before the boy managed to push away and slip into the safety of his apartment.

The child’s parents reported the encounter to authorities. It is unclear how the boy identified the stranger as Olreidge, but the 11-year-old reportedly told police that he had seen Olreidge around his neighborhood before and that they had never spoken until that encounter.

Police contacted Olreidge, who works at a barbershop, and he reportedly told authorities that he had been working all day and had not come in contact with any children. Olreidge’s supervisor told investigators that while his employee was at work the whole day, there was a period when he briefly left the store and his whereabouts were unknown. Police also reportedly got a statement from a relative of Olreidge who allegedly saw him riding his bicycle around the apartment complex.
